Jeremy Gustin, President
Jeremy Gustin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from CSU Sacramento, and a Master’s degree from UC San Diego focused on advanced structural analysis. He has over twenty-three years’ of industry experience performing structural modeling, static and dynamic analysis, and testing of advanced mechanical and aerospace systems using finite element methods. His design and analysis experience of high performance lightweight structures covers a multitude of industries, including aircraft, space, optics, and sporting goods. His structural dynamics expertise has also afforded opportunities to support aeroelastic simulations for several manned and unmanned flight development programs.
Chris Flanigan, Chief Financial Officer
Chris Flanigan has Bachelor and Masters degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has more than thirty years experience in aerospace structures and structural dynamics. He is an expert in using NASTRAN superelement methodology and DMAP programming for analyzing extremely large models and advanced dynamic analysis. Chris is one of the original Founders of Quartus Engineering, and has served as the Chief Financial Officer since inception.
Mark Stabb, Ph.D, P.E., Technical Fellow
Mark Stabb has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics, as well as a Masters and a Doctorate degree in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Mark has over twenty five years’ experience in performing structural and dynamic analysis of aerospace, mechanical and optical systems. He has extensive expertise in developing and applying advanced analysis methods and tools for satellite dynamics, flutter analysis, and advanced modal survey pretest methods. In addition, Mark is one of the original Founders of Quartus Engineering, having been its CEO for thirteen years and currently acting as CTO. Mark is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of CA, VA, WA, and HI.
Andy Kostuch, Director of Engineering, Sterling, VA
Andy Kostuch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics and Mathematics (2000) and an Master’s in Engineering Mechanics (2001) from the University of Wisconsin, with coursework and research activities focused on structural analysis, computational methods, and test-analysis correlation. His industry experience has centered on advanced mechanical analysis of aerospace systems for government and prime contractor clients. Mr. Kostuch has leveraged his experience over a broad range of applications including spacecraft, launch vehicles, aircraft, opto-mechanical systems, wind power systems, theme park attractions, medical devices, and basic research. With Quartus since 2001, Mr. Kostuch opened Quartus’ first eastern region office in 2009 to support a growing local client base. As Director he manages a diverse, responsive, and experienced engineering staff committed to providing customer focused mechanical engineering solutions.
Russ Mitchell, Director of Engineering, San Diego
Russ Mitchell has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona. He has a wide range of industry experience with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering projects. He has unique experience in the development of manned and unmanned airborne structures utilizing advanced materials with focus on production environments. He has additional experience in real-time processing for industrial automation applications leveraging reliable mechanical and electromechanical components for high rate throughput. Mr. Mitchell’s background includes the design of large metallic structures including nuclear reactor vessels and subsystems, as well as ground support equipment (GSE) for the assembly, integration and test (AI&T) of many industries. His practical hands on experience provides a unique and realistic perspective to engineering solutions.
